Responsibilities
To evaluate undergraduate engineering programmes offered by the Universities and other tertiary level Institutions offering education in engineering and advise on accreditation of engineering programmes. Assess engineering qualifications of foreign persons intending to offer professional engineering services or works. To develop, review and update the criteria and procedures for preparation of engineering programmes. To advise the Board on matters relating to engineering programs offered in the universities and other tertiary institutions. Responsibilities:
To process applications for registration of engineers and consulting firms. To monitor professional activities of engineers and engineering consulting firms. To conduct professional interviews for candidates applying for registration. To ascertain deployment of registered engineers to perform engineering duties. To advise the Board on matters relating to technical affairs of the Board. To ensure compliance of code of conduct and ethics for engineering practice. To prepare curriculum for registration of engineers and conduct professional examinations. To establish, operationalize and organize continuing professional development programmes for engineers of all categories. To organize seminars, workshops and conferences. To coordinate competence building programmes for engineering consulting firms. To oversee EBK publications. To advise the Board on matters relating to professional development affairs of the Board. Responsibilities
Oversee the finance and administration affairs of the Board. Oversee the implementation of the Board’s strategies. Develop, review or update laws and regulations. Scrutinize policy issues before transmitting them to the Board for decision. Oversee the resource mobilization, implementation of development programmes and sustainability of the Board. Handles urgent and emergency issues on behalf of the Board. Links with Government Ministries and Departments. Responsibilities
To advise the Board on matters related to audit and governance. To assess and advise on risk areas for the Board. To handle audit issues To ensure compliance with the legal and statutory requirements
